Here’s my wish list of who and what show gets a nomination this Tuesday morning. I’ll be crossing my fingers and hoping for some of my favorites in the Tony Awards for 2015/2016 season. I’m doubting a few of these will, so that’s why I’m sending them my good theatre vibes. Who’s on your list?
1/Megan Hilty for Noises Off

2/Waitress: Best New Musical, and actors, Christopher Fitzgerald, the ladies, Kimiko Glenn, Keale Settle, and music/lyrics Sara Bareilles. Jessie Mueller is a definite.
3/Bright Star: Best New Musical, and more specifically Carmen Cusack,and also Steve Martin and Edie Brickell for the music/lyrics

4/King Charles III, Best New Play, Tim Piggot Smith, and director, Rupert Goold
5/Spring Awakening: Best Musical Revival, choreographer Spencer Liff, director Michael Arden.

6/Alex Brightman from School of Rock
7/the leads from Fool for Love: Nina Arianda & Sam Rockwell

8/Color Purple: Danielle Brooks and director John Doyle, also Best Musical Revival.
Cynthia Erivo is sure to get one. Doesn’t need my hope.
9/Fiddler on the Roof: Best Musical Revival, choreographer Hofesh Shechter.
Danny Burstein is pretty much a sure thing.

10/Zachary Levi and Nicholas Barasch from She Loves Me, plus Best Musical Revival, director, Scott Ellis and costume designer Jeff Mahshie.
Laura Benanti and Jane Krakowski are sure things
11/Crucible/View from the Bridge: director Ivo van Hove, and cast, Nicola Walker, Mark Strong, Ben Whishaw, Saoirse Ronan, Sophie Okonedo, and Best Play Revival for both.
12/Cast of Blackbird: Jeff Daniels and Michelle Williams, plus director, Joe Mantello
13/Clive Owen, Eve Best and Kelly Reilly of Old Times
14/George Takei of Allegiance, and costumer designer Alejo Vietti.

15/Andrew Keener-Bolger, Carolee Carmello, Sarah Charles Lewis, Terrence Mann of Tuck Everlasting plus Best New Musical, director/choreographer Casey Nickolaw, set designer Walt Spangler, lighting designer Kenneth Posner, and music/lyrics Chris Miller and Nathan Tyson.

Hamilton: Best New Musical, choreography, director, Thomas Kail, and almost all production personnel will get nods. I’m thinking only Miranda will get an acting nod, along with book, music, lyrics.
-enough said.
Eclipsed: Lupita Nyong’o, Saycon Sengbloh. I’m hoping director, Liesl Tommy, gets a nod as well.
Frank Langella for The Father, Best New Play, possibly director, Doug Hughes
The Humans: specifically Jayne Houdyshell, Best New Play, director, Joe Mantello
Shuffle Along: choreographer Savion Glover and Audra McDonald (I’m also hoping Adrienne Warren gets a nod as well) but what about director George C. Wolfe?
And what about Linda Lavin? Wasn’t a great play, but she is always so wonderful.
